M12 x 1.75" Cleaning & Restoration Thread Chaser Tool

Purchase and delivery were very easy and fast. Opening the box, there were no instructions. Included was a sticker that had the website misspelled. You should really fix that. I was able to find one YouTube video on how to install and that was extremely helpful. A one sheet diagram of how it should be assembled should help the buyer a lot. Taking the old cold pipe out was easy and installing the new one took a little over an hour as I was very careful to ensure the clamps were installed correctly and tight. The pipe is very high quality as well as the silicone and aluminum sleaves.

I have not installed the parts yet, but I ordered the milled rocker arm pedestals and the head stud kit. To say that I’m impressed would be an understatement! The packaging is so well done it blows my mind!

They seem to be working good and they were easy to install just wish the packaging was a little better because the assembly line broke inside the box

My project began as a simple top end reconditioning for a classic with high mileage. The chaser taps are very well made and do just what they are supposed to, clean and straighten the threads without removing any material or 'cutting'. Xotic is not misrepresenting an important tool but making the right tool for exactly the job you came looking for help with here. I have even more confidence that their engine hardware will perform just as well as intended. The support chat people were readily available to help answer questions like "which size taps do I need?" And "are you sure this is for chasing and not for cutting?"

While installing head studs on my 12 valve Cummins I cross threaded one stud. I contacted XOTIC through email and paid the invoice online. Part arrived and my truck is up and running. I was very happy I didn't have to buy a whole set. Thank you. Excellent customer service.

Like an idiot, I damaged the threads in my vehicle’s crankshaft when I went to remove the harmonic balancer, and I needed a way to repair those really important threads in my engine. Xotic Performance came through by being one of the only online providers of this particular tool. Not only was I able to easily repair the crankshaft threads but I was able to continue with my engine rebuild project. I couldn’t have done it without Xotic Performance.

Appearance, packaging and presentation are great. Minor issue with instructions, but easy enough to figure out if you look up the arp stud install instructions. My directions had 2 number 1 bolts and no number 7 in the torque sequence diagram. They seem to be a good alternative to ARP if you want something a bit more budget friendly. Time will tell.

So far I'm impressed with them. I haven't installed them yet. Was a little concerned when I opened the shipping box and found 3 of the nuts out of the main box. But all was good.

I ordered before pulling my 2004 5.3 LS heads off. I take responsibility for the purchase. However, my particular motor out of a 2004 Yukon had the long studs in it so I was unable to use. Don't plan on returning as I have already opened the box, so they will sit for my next project or be sold on Market Place. Just take note, if you have a 2004 engine pull it apart before ordering to verify stud length.

The studs were great quality came with nice sockets and everything we will definitely be using them again at our shop
